This Website was made by Michelle Newman Van Horn as a project for Materials for Youth class S603 Spring 2011.  James Carl Shoemaker is my maternal grandfather who died when I was 10 months old.  I made this site so that my nephews, grandniece and grandnephews might get to know him.  It helped me get to know him too!
